The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) sets out special rules for contractors and subcontractors in the construction industry and how they may be affected when dealing with income tax and National Insurance matters. Most businesses working in construction, which may be companies, partnerships or self-employed individuals, will be affected by CIS.

At A4 Accounting, our expertise can be tailored directly to suit your needs, we offer a wide range of services aimed at your industry.

■  Compiling and calculating your year end Self Assessment Liability, and proving you with a set of accounts.
■   VAT Returns (this can be done either at our offices or at your premises)
■  Computing you and your subcontractor’s monthly CIS, fill out all relevant forms for you and advise you how much will need to be paid to Inland Revenue.  All you need to do is provide us with your own personalised CIS forms from Inland Revenue and how much (gross) you wish to pay yourself and/or your subcontractors.
■  Completing all forms for the financial yearend regarding your CIS in advance of the statutory deadlines.
■  Advise and help complete new CIS forms, for example, applying for Gross Registration
■  Advise you on the stricter rules regarding your subcontractor’s employment status.

With our flexibility, you do not even have to take time off to hand over your accounts as we offer a free pick up and drop off service to all our clients.
